The little story
The birth of the association in 2020
For what ?
Born from the observation that People with Reduced Mobility had few structures in Auvergne to practice the 100% Electric All-Terrain Wheelchair (FTT) (uphill, downhill, on hiking trails, in complete autonomy).
The creation of the HandiTou'Terrain association happened naturally, a non-profit association, law 1901.
HANDITOU'TERRAIN aims to offer an accessibility solution, but also to offer an outdoor leisure activity, between sport, nature, adventure and great sensations.
It was important to us to be able to bring together families, friends, colleagues, around a mixed activity, shared in an exceptional environment that is Puy-De-Dôme.
For who ?
- Able-bodied people, Men, Women with a maximum weight of 120 kg, and a height less than 2 meters (problems turning the handlebars with their knees touching the handlebars).
- People with reduced mobility or disabilities living outside of homes
- Intervention in homes or ESATs.
- From 16 years old to 90 years old, provided that the person can hold the handlebars, go left and right, know how to brake, like a bicycle.
Comment ?
With the help of an electric all-terrain wheelchair, respectful of nature, it becomes easy to access trails and paths, accompanied by walkers, runners, mountain bikers.
With 1 hour or 2 hour walks by appointment.
All controls are done on the handlebars with the hands, absolutely nothing on the legs or feet.
From a simple walk, to hiking, through the discovery of flora and fauna, let's expand together the field of possibilities FOR EVERYONE.
These All Terrain Armchairs already exist in the Pyrenees or the Alps for example but are really not known or established in Puy-de-Dôme yet we have magnificent landscapes to know and share!
We are currently looking for a Trafic or Fiat Ulysse type vehicle equipped with a trailer hitch, to transport our 2 quads

Our activities
Excursions of 1 hour or 2 hours on the mountain bike trails of Puy de Dôme, around Clermont-Ferrand. The different excursions are recognized by a member of the mountain bike association so as to be validated and secure.
They are on the marked hiking trails of Puy de Dôme, sporty or more peaceful.
In the future, we will do day or weekend or gourmet excursions.
